Dear Mission School Families,

On behalf of our school staff, I welcome you to Mission Elementary School. Those of you who have been part of our school community already know what a special place Mission Elementary is.  Those of you who are new to our school, you will find our school to be warm, accepting and dedicated to providing all students with a safe and challenging learning experience.  Students at Mission learn grade level standards through integrated units of study and the use of technology.  Teachers at Mission help students develop applied cross-curricular skills by fostering literacy, critical thinking and problem solving in all content areas.  At Mission, students learn to work in collaboration with peers and teachers, to communicate effectively and to develop an innovative way of thinking.

We recognize that the current pandemic has posed challenges and unique hardships for many families. District and school teams are working together to ensure the focus on the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our students and families.  We will continue to communicate district and school updates via phone, text, and email.  District updates are also posted at Please make sure your current contact information is in Aeries or contact our school at 760-966-8700.

We truly value your support as we team to make Mission Elementary the best school.  Your involvement in your children’s education will increase their academic success.  Please support your students at home by making sure they participate in all instructional opportunities and complete their assignments.  It is also important that you maintain ongoing communication with your child’s teacher(s) and participate in school events.  School events are announced through our monthly newsletter, call outs, and our website:
