Hello Mission Families!
Welcome to Mission Elementary, home of the Dolphins! I am honored to serve as the principal of Mission Elementary. Oceanside Unified School District is where I started my teaching career as an elementary teacher and now feel privileged to have the opportunity to work alongside an amazing and dedicated staff that is supportive of each and every student.
I have held leadership roles at various sites throughout the district. Prior to becoming an assistant principal, I was a Teacher on Special Assignment for our district’s English Learner Program and Migrant Ed. Program. I have taught grades K-4 and served as a middle school School Base Resource Teacher. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies, my Reading Specialist Credential, and a Master’s Degree in Education from Cal. State San Marcos. I also earned my Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Concordia University, Irvine.
My family and I are proud to call Oceanside our home and we are grateful for the educational experiences and commitment supported throughout OUSD’s schools. Our district celebrates the diverse strengths that our students bring to our school communities. Similarly, our school community is committed to creating learning opportunities for students to develop their academic and social skills. As a learning community, we believe that our partnership with parents and caregivers is an integral part of our students' success, and therefore look forward to continuing to combine our efforts as we prepare our students for college, career, and life!

Hello Mission Families, Staff, and Community Members,
I am humbled and honored to serve as the assistant principal of Mission Elementary. As an Oceanside native, I am deeply connected to this community and am committed to upholding the school's mission of fostering student achievement. I am a lifelong learner passionate about teaching and dedicated to working alongside Mission Elementary's hardworking and supportive staff.
My leadership journey began as an assistant principal at Reynolds Elementary. Before that, I spent 20 years in the classroom, teaching at elementary and middle school levels. I also served as an MTSS Teacher on Assignment (TOSA) and later as an English Learner TOSA. My educational background includes two Master's degrees: a Master's degree in Education Reading and Language Arts with a Reading Specialist Credential and a Master's degree in Education Administration. My dedication to student learning has been a driving force throughout my career.
On a personal note, my family is my greatest strength. I cherish every moment spent with them, engaging in fun and meaningful activities. I also have a passion for cooking, traveling, music, long walks, and gardening.
I am deeply committed to fostering an environment that encourages open communication, collaboration, innovation, and creativity. I believe that every voice is important, and I am dedicated to creating a culture of excellence where we all work together to build learning opportunities for all students.
